As we enter a third lock-down and photography in Berlin becomes a little more complicated, we look forward to a post-COVID-19 life, but also back to moments we have had to connect with others. Here, I photographed Francesca, stylishly accessorising her standard surgical face mask to protect her and others from the coronavirus.

This spontaneous shot, taken in the summer of 2020 in Italy's Giardino di Ninfa in the region of Lazio, sums up COVID-19 for me: wear a face-mask, wash your hands, keep your distance, but keep those you love close by (emotionally). Coronavirus doesn't have to ruin everything, if you can just do your bit to protect others! :)
